GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thank You!!

Thank you to the Patti J. for serving as service assistant this Sunday.

Thank you to the Deacons for their contribution of flowers for today’s service.

Thank You

We would like to thank all those so far who have donated their time and effort to keep our lawn looking beautiful!   Thanks to George Freshcoln (weeks of August 3 & 10), Janet Jeffers (week of August 17), George Carter (week of August 24, Joe Almeida (weeks Of August 31, September 7 & 14), Al Thompson (weeks of September 21 & 28 and October 5 & 12).

Midwest Flood Recovery Clean-up Buckets

Floods in the Midwest have drastically raised the need for Clean-up Buckets.  These emergency supplies offer immediate relief for the flood survivors.  Our goal is 10 buckets.  Please see the sign up sheets in the front hall for items to donate.  We are excited to be working with other local PC(USA) congregations on this project.  In late August or early September members of all participating congregations will make a day trip to the Church World Service Center in New Windsor Maryland to drop off the buckets.  While we are there we will be given a tour of the facility, we will have a meal together, and possibly do some shopping!

Shoe Boxes Needed

We are collecting smaller sized shoe boxes or any similarly sized boxes preferably with removable lids for a Christmas Eve surprise.  Give all shoe boxes to Pastor Lori.  Better yet – just put them in her van when you go to church!

Pastor Office Hours

During the summer, Pastor Lori will be in the office on Tuesdays through Thursdays - 1:00-4:00 PM.  Her schedule may change unexpectedly.  Please call 423-3200 first or 856-982-6685 (her cell phone) or 423-8803 (her home phone).  When calling her home, please call after 8:30 AM or before 9:30 PM.  Please feel free to contact her with any questions you may have!

 FAITH DEVELOPMENT & SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Care Notes

Our Deacons provide our church with Care Notes pamphlets, short helpful guides concerning issues of parenting, aging, grieving, etc.

Please feel free to take one.  They are located in the Narthex.

Daily Devotionals Available

Christ Church offers a free daily devotional every month from the Upper Room.  Please help yourselves to these spiritual guides, which are on the table in the Narthex.  Take one home today and start enriching your spiritual life!  A small chest is available for donations to help offset the cost of these books.

Service Flowers

Supported by our Deacons is the donation of flowers for the worship, which adds such beauty to the service!  Anyone may support this by signing up for a particular Sunday for which they would like to contribute flowers.

The flower sign-up sheet and envelopes for payment are in the Fellowship Hall on the bulletin board.  Flowers are $12.00.  Please put donations in cash or check form in one of these envelopes with your name and include it in the offering plate.

Flowers can be donated in the memory or honor of a particular person or date.  This information can be printed in the bulletin by request.

 MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

Two Cents a Meal

Throughout the year, we ask members and friends of our church to contribute 2 cents for each family member at each meal for needy families all over the world.  You may collect your offerings in our "Two Cents A Meal" boxes (in the Narthex).  When you have filled up your box, please give it to Catherine Sawers, our mission chair and she will give you a new empty box.
